New offerings from Explore Movement Somatics

With springtime just around the corner, I wanted to share with you the exciting new gentle movement sessions I am offering to help spring us into fabulous health and wellbeing these next few months! We tend to spend more time outside as we head into spring and summer... is there something you would love to look forward to but feel unable to do because of how you feel in your body? I am sure you have all heard the phrase 'use it or lose it' at some point in your lives. How do you feel about the way your body moves at the moment? Are you feeling restricted in any way? No matter our age or ability, we can improve and move forward. Can you picture yourself doing something you'd really love to do this spring/summer? It doesn't need to be anything grand like running a marathon (phew!) - it can be something as simple as gardening, walking for a period of time without pain or feeling confident you can get up and down off the floor with ease to play with the children and grandchildren. It could be.... returning to your favourite sport or activity, maybe you had to stop as you would suffer during or after the event. No matter how you feel now or what your movement intentions are for this coming spring/summer, I am offering a variety of gentle, easy to do sessions to assist you in your endeavor. In ALL the sessions I offer below we will not only look at our movements but also at our language and mind set and how the power of our words can help change things! We all learned to 'spell' at school - we 'cast spells' with our words every time we speak! Think about that for a moment... the things you say to people really can have a lasting effect. How do you make them feel? How do you speak to yourself everyday? Could you be 'casting a spell' keeping yourself in pain and tension without even realising it? Could your mind set be stopping you from moving forward completely? Could something as simple as changing your thoughts and language have a long lasting effect on your movements? Let's explore! I have 3 new terms coming up, these movement sessions are for everyone - no matter your ability! If you would like to book more than one term please get in touch for extra discounts! 1. March 28th - Unlimited Movement Sessions (10 weeks) 2. April 4th - Seated Sessions (6 weeks) 3. April 7th - Beginners Sessions (4 weeks) I also offer private sessions for those that would like something tailored more for their personal needs. Here we go!! 1. March 28th - Unlimited Movement Sessions (10 weeks. Sessions are 45 or 60 mins) On the March 28th we will begin our wonderful gentle movement classes again, our online community is really growing, we have classmates joining us here in England from Gibraltar, Spain, Germany, Scotland and sometimes Holland and America as well! How fantastic is ZOOM?!! This 10 week term includes.....

  • UNLIMITED access to 90 LIVE ONLINE sessions - You can come to one per week OR any amount up to the 9 on offer every week - it's up to you!

  • A private ZOOM link to come and go as you please - no need to book in daily.

  • Audio library access to 100's of recorded classes to listen to at your own leisure.

  • An EXTRA 10 days FREE audio access whilst I have my usual 1 week off between terms to finish prepping the new term.

  • 10 weeks of Powerful 'I AM' affirmations (beautiful images you can print off and keep.) A chance to really embrace them and be empowered by them fully.

  • Not forgetting .... all the wonderful learning that happens during the 90 LIVE sessions themselves. Every term is different, I have a new theme every 10 weeks.... I am currently creating the new one as we speak!

My private audio library holds 100's of sessions ranging from 10 mins to 60 mins. These extra sessions are really beneficial if you.....

  • have no time to come to the LIVE sessions... Just sign into the library anytime of the day. I upload NEW sessions EVERY weekday!

  • wake up in the night and can't get back to sleep - there are short sessions to help you drift off back to sleep.

  • have been busy all day - need to wind down - there are loads of sessions to help you with this.

  • feel stressed, anxious or run down - try the 'super lazy' section in the library - you could feel better within moments.

  • have aches and pains from gardening, driving or any other sports or activity - guess what?! Yes, there are classes available for pretty much anything you can think of in the library!

There are even classes for acute muscular and nerve pain - you can relax on your bed or in a chair if you can not get down on the floor.. All you have to do is 'press play' and listen. If you can not move that's Ok too - just imagining the moves can help improve what you are going through. Also, I am often available to have a chat if you need me. When does this 'unlimited' 10 week course start? Monday 28th March (all times of classes can be found here) What is the cost of this 'unlimited' 10 week course? 90 live classes and access to 100's more for 10 weeks for only £109 (early bird £99 before 18th March) If anyone is interested..... I am also thinking of adding on a once per month FREE 30 min Saturday morning gentle exercise class. There will be 3 to enjoy over the 10 weeks - I will also record these exercise sessions and you can have them to keep! If you would like to book a place on this course - click this link! 2. April 4th - Seated Sessions (6 weeks - each session 30 mins) This 6 week course is not only for those who find it hard to get down on the floor but for everyone who finds themselves sitting for long periods of time and wants to learn how to release tension in sitting. We spend a lot of our time sitting, whether at home, at work, in the car, out to dinner, in the cinema... we seem to go from one seat to another - even the toilet is a chair!

Over these 6 weeks I will share with you how to....

  • sit with more comfort and ease

  • release tension from the front, back and sides of your body

  • sit and get up with grace and ease from a chair (without groaning!)

  • release tension in your head, neck, shoulders and jaw

  • build strength in your legs and improve your walking (whilst seated!)

  • release pain and tension in your feet and lower legs

  • release tension in your arms and hands

  • Classes will be recorded for you to keep!

When does this seated course start? Monday 4th April for 6 weeks at 11.15am for 30 mins. All sessions are LIVE on ZOOM you can sit in any comfortable chair. This course is suitable for everyone! What is the cost of this 6 week seated course? This 6 week (6 x 30 mins live classes) and all recordings and support for only £65 (early bird £55 before 31st March)

If you would like to book a place on this course - click this link! 3. April 7th - Beginners Sessions (4 weeks - each session is 60 mins) These 4 enjoyable sessions will introduce you to moving with comfort and ease. The sessions can be taken on the floor or your bed.

  • We will explore a variety of enjoyable, gentle, pain - free movement patterns to help release chronically tight muscles that may be causing you pain and restricted movement.

  • We will cover how gentle movement works and why it is so effective at releasing chronically contracted muscles, helping to reduce pain and tension.

  • I will share with you moves to help release the front, back and sides of your body, creating more freedom of movement. (You are in charge of how much you feel like moving.)

  • Q&A, video links and informational handouts to support you throughout are all included!

  • Classes will be recorded for you to keep!

When does this course start? The start date is Thursday 7th April @ 11am. All 4 sessions will be live to you via Zoom, so you can be in the comfort of your own home anywhere in the world! Whether you are a complete beginner or an improver there is something for everyone in this 4-week course.
